UF Athletic Association Team Physician and BRAIN Steering Committee member Dr. Jay Clugston, along with 13 other members of the Southeastern Conference’s Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force, have been named recipients of the Michael L. Slive Distinguished Service Award. The Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force, a group of volunteer medical professionals appointed by each of the SEC’s member universities who helped provide continuing guidance as the SEC conducted intercollegiate athletics competition during the 2020-21 academic year, was formed in early April of 2020 to provide the guidance necessary to make decisions related to the return to athletics activities for SEC student-athletes. Dr. Clugston, who is in his 18th year covering the Gators’ athletic program, provides primary support for football, men’s basketball, and men’s tennis. Congratulations, Dr. Clugston!
