Dr. Michael Jaffee, Director of the University of Florida Brain Injury, Rehabilitation, and Neuroresilience (BRAIN) Center and Chair of the Department of Neurology, has been appointed to a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) consensus committee.
Dr. Jaffee will serve on the Committee to Review Neurodegenerative Outcomes and Selected Military Exposures, an expert panel convened to examine the scientific evidence related to neurodegenerative outcomes associated with selected military-relevant exposures. The study is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The committee includes nationally recognized experts in neurology, epidemiology, toxicology, and environmental health.
