The University of Florida’s BRAIN Center, the lead state agency for brain injury, and Brain Injury Florida have partnered with the Statewide Brain Injury Advisory Council to develop Florida’s Brain Injury State Action Plan, a comprehensive initiative designed to enhance quality of life, education, and service systems for individuals affected by brain injury.
Funded by a grant from the Administration for Community Living (ACL), the plan was developed through extensive collaboration with brain injury survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers. It establishes a clear roadmap for improving community-based supports, professional education, and access to specialized services, ensuring that individuals with brain injuries receive the care and resources they need to thrive.
