THE UF BRAIN CENTER BUILDING COMMUNITY BETWEEN BRAIN INJURY CLINICIANS AND RESEARCHERS
Learn more about our center and how it benefits clinicians and researchers, patients with brain injury, and the larger community.
Mission: Improve understanding of neuroresilience and neural injury and its difference from other neurological diseases, while developing new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to treat traumatic or anoxic neural injury.
Our faculty collaborate with researchers in centers and institutes across campus and beyond to meet our mission.
Goals: Address risk factors, improve acute and chronic clinical management, understand and treat long-term effects and comorbidities, and harness the intrinsic capacity for central nervous system plasticity to improve outcomes following brain injury and other cognitive conditions.
This quarterly seminar series pairs preclinical and clinical researchers in a discussion regarding their current work.
UF BRAIN gives back to the Gainesville and neural injury community in a variety of ways.
Want to learn more about the brain injury network here at UF? Starting in Fall 2022, several center members produced short videos regarding their work and how they might connect with other members. These vignettes will be posted throughout the year.
From the BRAIN Building seminar to educational and recruitment videos, we are building a video library that illustrates the breadth and depth of our work in the field of brain injury and neuroresilience.
